Version 2 · October 11, 2026
This agreement is between you (or the church or organization you install Lanthorn Studio for) and Bartlett Electronics, 5836 Stage Rd, Bartlett, TN (“we”). By installing or using Lanthorn Studio you agree to it. It is meant to be read, so we’ve kept it short.
1. Free use
Lanthorn Studio is proprietary software owned by Bartlett Electronics. We grant you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the free features on any number of computers, for as long as you like, for your church, ministry or organization.
2. Lanthorn Studio Pro
When you buy Pro, we grant you a perpetual license to use the Pro features on up to the number of computers you paid for: 3 for Pro · Church, 10 for Pro · Multi-campus. You can move the license from one computer to another (remove it from the old one first). The 14-day trial is a free, temporary Pro license for evaluation.
3. Updates
Pro includes the updates we release for one year from purchase. After that, Pro keeps working forever on the versions released during your year. An optional update renewal adds another year. We aim to ship updates regularly but don’t promise any particular feature or release date.
3a. Cloud workspace
Pro · Multi-campus licenses include access to the Lanthorn Studio cloud workspace (cloud.lanthornstudio.app) while the license’s updates are current, plus 30 days. It is provided for your church’s own computers, up to the license’s seat count, for ordinary use: songs, services, looks, and media files of up to 300 MB each. We aim to keep it available but don’t guarantee uninterrupted service, and the app keeps working offline with its own copy of your library. Keep your own backups of anything important. We may suspend access that harms the service or other churches, and if we ever retire the cloud workspace we’ll give at least 90 days’ notice so you can keep everything on your computers.
4. What you may not do
You may not share or publish your license key, sell, rent or redistribute Lanthorn Studio, get around the license check, or reverse engineer the software except where the law allows that despite this limitation.
5. Refunds
If Pro isn’t right for you, email support@lanthornstudio.app within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. The license key from a refunded order stops being valid for updates, and you agree to stop using it.
6. Your content and third-party rights
Your songs, services and media remain yours. You are responsible for having the rights to project and stream what you use, including song lyrics (for example through a CCLI license and a streaming license) and any Bible translation you import. The bundled Bible texts are in the public domain. Lanthorn Studio isn’t affiliated with SongShow Plus, CCLI, OBS or Facebook.
7. Open-source components
Lanthorn Studio includes open-source components, including fonts under the SIL Open Font License. Their licenses ship with the app and apply to those components.
8. Privacy
Lanthorn Studio has no accounts or telemetry. Update checks are described in our privacy notice.
9. No warranty
Lanthorn Studio is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Please keep a backup plan for important services.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Bartlett Electronics is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from use of Lanthorn Studio. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for Lanthorn Studio in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50 if you use only the free version.
11. Ending this agreement
You can stop using Lanthorn Studio at any time by uninstalling it. This license ends automatically if you break these terms.
12. Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, USA, and any dispute will be handled in the courts of Shelby County, Tennessee. Questions: support@lanthornstudio.app.
